the apps looks great at first glace
it needs an about page with links to here
and some basic instructions descriptions for each page, descriptions for settings
and one example for each page that uses as many settings as possible.

just very very basic ideas so someone can quickly look at how things work and how to set things up.

i love all the options and the simplistic nature of the app.

i will just take a lot longer then i would like to figure things out since its been 10 years since i have been to the gym LOL
i have no idea what "steps" under workout ( i am sure the terminology changes from location and age LOL) is.

i will figure it out and i will keep watching this app

i love it does not need internet and does no tracking/ google / cloud syncing

I want to make the app explain itself instead of having a separate wiki or about page. Mainly because:

  • Then we would have two sources of truth: the app and this about page, what if one changes and we forget to change the other?
  • Redundancy, the app could be explaining these things already.

Why don't you make this issue instead about what you find to be confusing, and I can try to change the wording of the settings descriptions, or we can have toasts at certain times explain what is going on.

ok here are some questions
tab "workouts"
why workouts? i would call these "exercises" as it is a list of exercises. i am sure you have a reason.
---- already fixed----

steps
what are steps? just have no idea. and i have googled

tab "plans" ( these, i would call workouts, ie chest workout, abs workout, monday workout, etc"

tab "home" ( which i would call "sets" or "set list, maybe history"
could really use the timer progress bar at the top
and an option to switch back to "home" view after "save" is used in the "add set" screen
because
#1 i hit save and there is no indicator that it has saved once twice or third time so.
#2 i have to switch back to see how many sets i have done so far ( as i am tired an have already forgotten LOL.)

this tab could really use a view much like you get when you try to edit multiple sets at once.
a view that shows all that you have done during this "set" for this "exercise" during this "workout"

this tab could also really use a condensed view of each exercise set when done, rather then each set individually
it would just be a bit cleaner and easier to look back at the days workout

this tab could also use the time of each set when done added to the date maybe underneath, while i cant see the time being crazy important, it would be nice to see how long each exercise takes once in a while when i have lost 45 mins someplace during the day.

settings tab
could really use a vibrate duration setting. what is there now is not very noticeable

Workouts: I realized the same thing and changed it a few commits ago
Plans: Not going to rename this I think it's fine
Home: Might rename that to history sure
Progress bar: The progress is in the notification tray which makes it easier to see from anywhere (i.e. outside of Massive). Also I think a bar inside the app would add to clutter
Save navigate back to home: This might be a bug in one of the versions, latest version should work
Multi edit: long tap several sets and then press top right options menu -> edit
Set times: enable "show date" in settings
Condensed view: Kind of sounds like the Plan page
Vibration duration: Might look into this but I find it tedious to communicate between React Native and Kotlin

Set times: enable "show date" in settings
it shows the date but not time are you saying it should also display a time for each set?

Condensed view: Kind of sounds like the Plan page
yes but the plan page does not show a history of what you have done, should it?
( ill be honest i was not using it since exercises were alphabetical and not sort-able before)

The settings page has an option for the format of date strings, some of them include the timestamp
