it would be nice to see a cardio exercise with options like

time:
distance: kph/ mph or pace ( option for some exercises that don't have a distance))
workout plan# ( many cardio machines have listed workouts you can do) (option)
level: ( most cardio exercise machines have a level setting ) (option)
average heartrate: ( option)
max heartrate: (option)
perceived difficulty: ( how you personally felt doing this work out) RPE (rate of perceived exertion(new word for me)
route: for out door cardio (option)
calories: many machines ( and phones) track calories burned during the exercise. (at least the 3 i use do..)

or just leave the optional ones empty.
( i personally think these would be the minimum needed to cover most exercises or machines)

I don't do much cardio myself so I don't know how to fit this into the graphs. What sort of things would you want to graph with sets of cardio? I assume:

  • Distance this [week|month|year]
  • Heart rate this [week|month|year]

Struggling to think of an equivalent formula or calculation similar to our One Rep Max calculator. Is there something like that for cardio?

i would think for graphs would be pace ( distance by time) and overall average heart rate for a workout.
i am not good at doing cardio but and never use pace yet. but i would think people doing distance are more worried about their pace( which can get better) and not distance ( which can change every day)
many machines have calories burned also..
so that would be a good thing to graph by workout.
so im thinking for graphs
pace: higher is better
RPE :(rate of perceived exertion)
ave heart rate: lower is better to define fitness level, higher is better to show intensity of workout
calories: higher is better
tracking distance totals by week - month -(not year) would also be something many people would want i think

cardio is something i have to work on a lot more and i dont know that much

At the gym the machine there has
Heart rate
Resistance level
Time
Pace
Calories
Watts
Distance
Speed

And 6 programs which could just be a note

And the real pain is that it seems it's in miles and no one at the gym has any idea how to switch it to metric.
So a feature to switch between both would be nice
Like fill in miles and it shows km
Or fill in km and it shows miles.
For pace, speed and distance

Laps. (i was told this is important)

Sorry I don't think i'll be adding cardio stuff any time soon. I primarily made this app for myself and since I don't do cardio I doubt I would be interesting in making the feature.

that is too bad, cardio is very very popular and very good for everyone.
its inclusion even on a basic level would give your app more users then how many apps only have distance and time as features for cardio.
